Review - Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge Bangkok
Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge Bangkok
August 24th, 2025
A Word from the Chef:
I briefly visited the Singapore Airlines (SIA) SilverKris Lounge prior to my Thai Airways flight. I don’t usually associate SIA with outstanding lounges, and this one was no exception. The lounge landscape for Star Alliance airlines at BKK is rather lackluster, even though it’s Thai Airways’ home base, and Thai Airways is a founding member of Star Alliance…
I think I’d rank the Star Alliance lounges at BKK as follows: EVA Air Lounge > Thai Airways lounges > SilverKris Lounge > Turkish Airlines Lounge. I’ve never been to Thai’s Royal First Lounge, so that’s not considered here.
Plat Principal:
The SilverKris Lounge had a beautiful entrance, similar to the SilverKris Lounge at Changi.
The lounge consisted of one rectangular room. Given the unique architecture of the terminal at BKK, the lounge only had an interior view into the concourse.
The lounge still had plenty of Singaporean flags around, albeit the National Day was two weeks ago, lol.
The lounge felt somewhat refreshed. The center of the lounge was the bar.
While I didn’t partake, I loved that they had barista made coffee in the lounge. The Thai tea affogato is probably really bomb.
Towards the back of the lounge was the food area. There were a few hot dishes on offer for breakfast, including scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, roasted tomatoes and etc. There were also a few Asian options.
I wasn’t really hungry, but the Chinese pork rib soup with mushrooms, goji berries and ginseng sounded particularly wholesome.
Digestif:
The SilverKris Lounge at BKK was okay. Personally, I wouldn’t arrive early for any of the lounges at BKK.
