Review - EVA Air The Infinity Lounge Taipei (TPE)

EVA Air The Infinity Lounge Taipei (TPE)

February, 2026

A Word from the Chef:

After getting off from my mighty pleasant EVA Air flight from Hong Kong, I had a little less than two hours to kill at Taoyuan Airport. If you thought I was going to praise EVA for its lounges at its home turf, since I raved so much about its inflight experience, you’d be mistaken. I’ll just say it: EVA Air lounges in Taipei suck. Disagreements not accepted.

I just don’t get it??? Why? Por qué? Warum? For such a world-class airline that invests so much in everything else, why are its home airport lounges so bad? This isn’t even me being a diva. I’m 98% sure you’ll have the same impression by the end of this review, but some of y’all be weird af so you never know🤣.

For context, EVA Air has four different lounges here at Taipei. The Garden is the best one (shhh, I heard it’s not that great either), accessible only to EVA’s own top frequent flyers. Next you have the Infinity Lounge for first and business class passengers on EVA and Star Alliance airlines. This is the one I visited. Then you have the Star and the Club, which are for EVA and Star Alliance gold members.

In every sense, the Infinity should be the carrier’s flagship business lounge, as you have to fly business to enter. So what do we have here…

Plat Principal:

Upon entry, there was a staff member scanning your boarding pass to determine which lounge is for you, as some of the lounges share the same entrance.

I was pointed to the right, towards the Infinity🤪.

The entire lounge was laid out along this narrow-ish corridor. All of the seating was to the left, while business center and washrooms/showers were to the right.

From the entrance, you can see all the way to the end of the lounge. You’d think surely this lounge stretches and winds, right? Because how does EVA handle all the business class passengers in such a small space? EVA currently operates 80 commercial aircraft, and most of them are widebodies. EVA is also a banked airline transporting connecting passengers. Imagine my disbelief when I saw this tiny buffet area…

Digestif:

Is this a joke? Am I blind? Is there a bar? Massage chairs? Where do they make fresh Taiwanese beef noodles? What am I missing? I’ve been to EVA’s lounge in Bangkok, and it’s much bigger than this. I swear I didn’t find one open seat in my first two laps. I don’t think Royal Air Maroc can get away with this??? Unfortunately, most of the reviews I’ve seen online seem to confirm that EVA’s lounge situation is extremely offensive for an otherwise well-regarded airline. I’ve traveled through TPE many times in the past, and China Airlines’ lounges are downright heavenly by comparison. Ok I didn’t mean it like that. China Airlines’ lounges are actually respectable, period.

Thankfully, my layover was only an hour and some change, so I headed to the gate early and could not have boarded my flight to Paris sooner. At least the gate area was cool, temperature-wise. EVA, please change the name from the Infinity to the Inferno!
